Voting Rights
Ann believes no freedom in America is more fundamental than the freedom to vote. She is deeply concerned about current efforts in the Minnesota legislature to suppress voting rights for Black, Latino, Native, disabled, and economically disadvantaged Americans.

Ann supports:
-
National Popular Vote legislation, an agreement among states that guarantees the presidency to the candidate who receives the most popular votes.

-
protecting Minnesota's in-person early voting laws.

-
extending the option to vote by mail to all voters.

-
making Election Day a federal holiday.

-
restoring the right to vote to those convicted of felonies who have completed their prison time.
-
ranked choice options for all local government races.

-
a constitutional amendment establishing an independent redistricting commission

-
reaffirming the defeat of the Voter ID initiative by Minnesota voters.
